Agreement signed between Armenia’s National Olympic Committee and the Russian Olympic Committee
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan welcomed today a delegation led by RF Government Vice President Alexander Zhukov.
Welcoming the guests, Tigran Sargsyan expressed hope that the delegation’s visit will enable to discuss a broad range of issues of mutual interest.
Alexander Zhukov pointed to the need for fostering a multifaceted cooperation, including in sport. As Chairman of Russia’s Olympic Committee, he noted the importance of developing the interaction between the two Olympic committees.
The guests were introduced to the sizeable project of Lake Sevan’s sports complex to meet highest international standards.
The parties exchanged views on the welfare programs underway in both countries.
In conclusion, Armenian National Olympic Committee Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan and Russian Olympic Committee Head, Government Vice President Alexander Zhukov signed a cooperation agreement between the RA National Olympic Committee and the RF Olympic Committee.
The ceremony of signing was followed by RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s and RF Government Vice President Alexander Zhukov’s joint press conference.
