PRC First Vice-Prime Minister Li Kexiang highly appreciative of the current level of Armenia-China relations
PRC First Vice-Prime Minister Li Kexiang expressed high opinion of the current level of Armenia-China relations at today’s meeting with RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Forwarding PRC Prime Minister Wen Jiabao’s greetings, he expressed hope that Tigran Sargsyan’s visit will help expand ties between the two countries.
Thanking the Vice Prime Minister for a warm welcome, the head of government noted the strong resource for developing economic cooperation and expressed hope that bilateral relations will be strengthened and expanded to the mutual advantage. He evoked the good record of interaction in the name of Shansi-Nairit synthetic rubber manufacturer by stressing that this example needs building on. In this light, he emphasized the basalt processing project based on those expert findings which confirm Armenia’s wealth in high-quality raw material.
Tigran Sargsyan advised that a cyclotron-based international project is due to kick off at the National Center of Yerevan Physics Institute. A package of feasible proposals was said to have been forwarded to the Chinese side covering agriculture, public health services and information technologies. The parties next touched upon cooperation in the sphere of transport, including railway communications. Appreciative of Chinese government’s assistance, the head of RA government expressed hope that the proposed projects would be realized in the not so distant future.
The interlocutors concurred in that the planned Armenian culture days in China might be instrumental in promoting bilateral relations.
The Chinese first vice-premier stated that close ties of interaction are established in both the political and humanitarian spheres and that the Chinese side is prepared to build on them. He expressed hope that the relations will be taken up to a higher level through joint efforts. Mr. Li Kexiang advised that all the Chinese agencies concerned will be told to look into the proposed projects carefully which are expected to give a strong boost to economic exchanges.
Both sides underscored the role of the intergovernmental commission in the furtherance of interaction between the two countries.
In conclusion, the PRC first vice-premier congratulated Tigran Sargsyan on the Day of Independence.
