The Prime Minister attends the 10th session of CIS council of control chamber heads
Yerevan is hosting the 10th session of CIS Council of Control Chamber Heads, attended by representatives from CIS countries, from Georgia and the Baltic States, as well as by Polish Control Chamber Head Jaczek Yezierski who is also the chairman of EUROSA.
The agenda focuses on the role of supreme control agencies in the management of social and economic processes. Another key item is the strengthening of regional cooperation between control agencies.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan expressed hope that the forum would lead positive conclusions. The head of government further said as followed: “Higher efficiency in control chamber activities will help improve public spending practices, reduce corruption risks and enhance transparency enabling the government to assess its own resources. This is why we so much appreciate the role of Armenia’s control chamber. Keen on mastering the international experience, we seek cooperation with foreign counterparts.”
The Prime Minister said to be satisfied at the current pace of Government-Control Chamber cooperation which is supposed to enhance public spending efficiency.
