Armenian-Iranian friendship as a pledge for the development of bilateral economic cooperation
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation headed by Chairman of Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Laridjani who arrived in Armenia on October 8 on a two-day working visit. Welcoming the guests, the Prime Minister said to be pleased with the dynamics of bilateral cooperation and stressed the need for furthering economic exchanges between the two countries.
While discussing the prospects of economic cooperation, both sides made a point of implementing joint programs in energy and transport, as well as boosting ties between the private sectors.
Stressing the importance of reciprocated high-level contacts in the light of strengthened bilateral friendship, the interlocutors took note of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s forthcoming visit to Iran scheduled for this late October. Tigran Sargsyan said to have been invited at the October 1 meeting with the President of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Mines to call at ICCIM headquarters during the upcoming visit to speak on the prospects and possibilities of Armenia’s economic development.
