The Prime Minister visits Syunik marz
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan took part in a cleanup and tree-planting campaign in Syunik marz.. Shinuhair community was the first port of call of the head of government.
First, the Prime Minister met with village inhabitants. He advised that actions like this are scheduled for implementation in all the provinces of Armenia under the Clean Homeland program. “Syunik marz is hosting the action today, and we hope that other regions as well will follow your example,” Tigran Sargsyan said addressing the meeting.
According to the head of government, everyone must careful and keep the environment tidy and clean. “It is my pleasure that a good number of public organizations have joined “Miasin”movement, and the program is extending its coverage,” Tigran Sargsyan noted.
After planting trees in Shinuhair community, the Prime Minister visited Tatev monastic complex where tress were planted, too. Tigran Sargsyan toured the complex, has lit a candle and familiarized himself with the pace of cableway testing works. Tigran Sargsyan told the journalists that last preparations were being made so that the cableway could be commissioned in a week. Road rehabilitation is in full swing on the site. “If we have good weather, rehabilitation activities will meet the proposed deadlines. Besides, everything should be done so that the complex could host over 500 visitors next week,” the Prime Minister of Armenia said. As far as the cableway is concerned, Tigran Sargsyan noted that it stands out among other such facilities operational worldwide and will appear on the international travel guides after its commissioning. The availability of a cableway at the refurbished monastic complex is crucial to the development of tourism in this region.
On this occasion, Syunik marz also hosted several government members, representatives of “Miasin” movement and other organizations.
