Anti-corruption council meets at the Office of Government



The anticorruption council met at the Office of Government, chaired by council head, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Head of the anticorruption strategy monitoring commission, presidential assistant Gevorg Kostanyan reported on the amendments to council by-laws as specified in the presidential decree of June 1, 2004 on establishment of an anticorruption council in Armenia. In particular, efficiency-targeted changes were said to be made in the composition of the monitoring commission. The proposed amendments have been approved by the meeting.

The council next took note of the anticorruption strategy 2009-2012 action plan performance reports for 2009 and the first quarter of 2010.

In conclusion, the meeting heard and took note of the report of the head of the Armenian delegation on the GRECO-conducted conformity assessment results.
