Governing Council meets in the Office of Government
North-South Road Corridor investment program governing council met in the Office of Government, chaired by council head, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
The meeting approved the North-South Road Corridor investment program auditor’s technical proposal for the years 2010-2013 and the period up till June 30, 2014.
By endorsing the regular funding application for the second tranche, the Council directed Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan to submit a draft decree by next February on the finalized land alienation program concerning Ashtarak-Talin road section and the State budget funding estimate.
The Prime Minister instructed setting up a talks group composed of stakeholder representatives to conduct talks with the Asian Bank on the second tranche lending facility.
The council next discussed the road building project to be carried out nearby Agarak and Udjan settlements and the Zakari Berd archeological site under the second tranche. North-South Road Corridor investment program PIU chief executive officer Felix Pirumyan reported on the works done so far at the given section.
The council next approved a proposal on addressing a third-tranche financing application to the Japanese government under its development assistance facility. Minister of Economy Nerces Yeritsyan was told to coordinate the procedures concerning the application.
