National Security Service staff gets State awards on professional holiday
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended a gala event dedicated to the professional holiday of National Security Service staff.
Offering his congratulations on the Day, the Prime Minister stated in part: ‘In his address, the President of Armenia has clearly described your tasks. It is not a secret that these tasks are being revised promptly in the modern world as new threats, challenges and risks appear. We must expose the risks in a timely manner, identify their targets and prevent them accordingly. It is the duty of the Government of Armenia to equip the National Security Service with all the necessary tools. You should improve your skills on a daily basis to live up to such complex challenges as border protection or cyber-security. We are confident that the Armenian National Security Service has the needed capacity to meet the threats ahead.”
The Prime Minister handed major general’s shoulder straps to Ruben Apoyan, colonel, head of the NSS operative-technical general department and Tigran Barseghyan, colonel, head of the NSS constitutional order enforcement and anti-terrorism general department who had been conferred upon the military title of major general in lone with the presidential decree of December 17, 2010.
