Today the Commission on Coordination of Charitable Programs under RA Government has held a meeting chaired by commission chairman V. Movsisyan.

Discussed were 6 charitable programs. In particular, the Commission has discussed and approved the construction projects to be carried out in Goris town of Syunik marz and Hrazdan town of Kotayk marz by Othevan Young People's Christian Association, a program regarding the import of humanitarian goods and free distribution thereof by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Armenia Office, two programs funded by Armenia All-Armenian Fund for the preparation of product types necessary for full equipment of a school in Mayisian village of Armavir marz and School No. 1 of Maralik town of Shirak marz, a renovation project to be carried out at School No.2 in Ayntap village of Ararat marz by the Armenian Social Investment Fund.

The Armenia Office of the Norwegian Refugee Council will sponsor the building of a playground in the courtyard of a newly built kindergarten situated on the site adjacent to Yerevanian Highway of Gyumri town of Shirak marz through contratcs signed under a program approved by Decision No. M-78-A of February 27, 2004 of the Government Commission on Charitable Programs, as well as the construction of water supply facilities in a dozen of villages in Tavush marz

Furniture manufacture and installation in 7 Armenian schools, as well as activities with relation to the supply of made-to-order carpets will be carried out by the Armenia Office of Mission East organization through contracts signed under a handicapped children development support project.

The meeting has also discussed and approved a number of sub-projects and contratcs under implementation within the framework of previously approved projects.
