Prime Minister meets with Georgian Minister for Territorial Development and Infrastructures
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Minister for Territorial Development and Infrastructures of Georgia Ramaz Nikolaishvili.
Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister stressed the need for activating economic relations between Armenia and Georgia. “I think it is in the best interest of our two peoples as the providing of wider economic space to economic entities may increase the two countries’ potential of economic growth.”
In this context, Tigran Sargsyan spoke about the importance of having efficacious communication ways between the two countries, including in particular road construction, cargo traffic and a number of customs-related issues of mutual interest.
Thanking the head of the Armenian government for reception, Ramaz Nikolaishvili forwarded Georgian Prime Minister’s greetings. He briefed Tigran Sargsyan on Georgia’s experience in the field of road construction referring to road safety, maintenance and the wy tenders are held in his country. Tigran Sargsyan noted that the experience of Georgia in sphere of road construction will be useful to Armenia.
The interlocutors next discussed projects of regional importance, including the ones relating to road construction. The need for exchanging know-how and information in this filed was emphasized on either side. The agenda also comprised the question of Upper Lars border checkpoint.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan conveyed greetings to the Prime Minister of Georgia.
