State support for investment program
On visit to Jermuk International Company, which is the Armenia representative of PepsiCo International, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan familiarized himself with the pace running works at the newly founded enterprise, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies of European manufacture.
To launch production of carbonized drinks of some trade marks, last year Jermuk International imported AMD2.8bn dram worth of equipment for which the Company was granted a VAT payment deferral to the amount of AMD 560mn up till October 25, 2013 under government decree N1437-A of November 11, 2010.
The enterprise is due to be commissioned this May. Note that the bulk of its output will be realized on the home market. Part of the reusable glass-bottled products will be exported to Georgia. Some 250 jobs with pays above the private sector average will be available under the project.
A new production line is to be commissioned for the manufacture of PepsiCo International-branded natural juices which will be marketed and sold both at home and abroad.
