Business environment being improved
A cabinet sitting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
Before proceeding to the agenda, the Prime Minister presented the findings of the monitoring carried out in the system of immovable property cadastre. After priority action had been outlined by the head of government, the floor was given to the head of the State Committee on Immovable Property Cadastre by the Government.
As the first item of the agenda, the government decided that henceforth application-related formalities will be deemed complete if legal entity-drafted statements and/or applications feature the number of State registration. Thus, those legal entities in search of public services will no longer be required to produce copies of charter registration certificates. “This is a most serious decision of ours by which the State shoulders the burden formerly left to economic entities. From now on the latter will only have to mention the registration numbers of licenses and certificates granted to them. The balance of services will be ensured by the State.”
The cabinet decided that “Amster Flowers” Armenian-Dutch joint venture will be granted a VAT payment deferral up till March 5, 2014 for the products imported under its investment program to the amount exceeding 300 million drams.
The company plans to build a state-of-the-art tomato, cucumber and paprika growing greenhouse complex in Armavir marz of Armenia with euro 1.46mn investment. Works will have kicked off by this yearend generating some 56 new jobs.
The meeting next decided that Nubarashen Poultry Farm OJSC will be granted a VAT payment deferral up till April 20, 2014 for the products imported under its investment program to the amount exceeding 300 million drams.
The company plans to set up a fowl-producing facility on the site of a former SU enterprise with euro 1.1mn investment generating 90 new jobs.
Mindful of promoting inland tourism and sports in Armenia, the executive decided to allocate a plot of land for public beaches to be organized in the recreational zone of Sevan national park below the mark of 1905 meters of altitude. The Ministry of Nature Protection was earmarked AMD 66000.0 thousand to this end. “This decision was adopted under a presidential instruction: our citizens should be allowed to have a rest and enjoy free beaches on the shore of Lake Sevan,” Tigran Sargsyan said in this connection.
The government decided to authorize Minas Avetisyan cultural charity foundation to relocate and restore in cooperation with Armenia International Airports CJSC two paintings by Minas currently posted in the building of Gyumri Electro-Technical Plant CJSC and in the premises of Omega CJSC in Gyumri. According to Tigran Sargsyan, the State remains the lawful owner of these works of art. Some people used to think that they should not be handed over to private individuals. Is not it better now as any visitor arriving in Armenia may enjoy the beauty of those wonderful paintings of Minas?
In conclusion, the Prime Minister announced that the Board of Armenia’s Writers Union is holding the third “I am a book-friend” literary telethon this April 30, therefore public agency staff and other collectives are invited to take a share in the event.
