PM visits ELBAT Armenian-German Company
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited today ELBAT Armenian-German battery producing company.
The prime minister walked round the labs and workshops of the company getting acquainted with the production process. Calling at the modern technology-strong chemical and electromechanical workshops, the Prime Minister was briefed on the manufacturing and quality control processes.
51% of corporate shares belong to German Cronimet Mining organization and 49% to the Armenian side. ELBAT manufactures lead-acid starter accumulators for almost all types of motorcars. Output quality standards are controlled in the chemical and electromechanical workshops where company experts conduct the needed tests.
In May, 2011, ISO 9001:2008 international certificate was awarded to ELBAT by “Quality Austria” Austrian company. Currently 145 people are working at the company, of which 90 are engaged in master and auxiliary jobs.
Note that this lead-acid starter accumulators manufacturing entity was commissioned on November 23, 2010.
