Europe and Central Asia-Devoted World Economic Forum Kicks Off In Vienna
Attended by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan-led government delegation, the World Economic Forum kicked off today at Vienna’s Hoffburg congress-center.
Following the global crisis, the “Arab spring” and the Japanese disaster the need has arisen to rethink the targets set for economic development and reforms, as well as to readjust the policies carried out in the field of nuclear and renewable energy, welfare and innovational programs.
This 9th two-day economic forum is called to address a cooperation expansion and efficiency-related agenda.
“Businessmen, steer a course for East!” this is the slogan proposed by the participants of the forum based on the situation available in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan is set to deliver a statement at the panel entitled “Eyeing Russia.”
Referred to as “Expanding the frontiers of innovation,” the meeting brings together heads of State and government, as well as over 500 civil society and business community representatives from all over the world.
