MCA-Armenia SNCO Governing Council Meeting

MCA-Armenia SNCO governing council met at Government, chaired by council head, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

The council discussed and approved a package of application and attached documents for a 20th disbursement under the program subject to MCC approval. According to the application, MCA-Armenia expects to get USD 29,012,885 million for the third quarter of 2011 (July - September), of which USD 28,222,698 will cover the activities still to be carried out under the Irrigated Agriculture project, with the balance to be used for program monitoring, evaluation, management and oversight purposes.

By the end of this quarter, actual and projected (for the month of June) program expenditures will have totaled USD 138,200,941. The twentieth application is the last but one disbursement request under the program. The ultimate 21st application is due this September to cover program closure-related expenditures.

The MCA-Armenia program will have a total cost of USD 176,491,028.

The council next approved a set of amendments to closure plan appendices.

The meeting took note of MCA-Armenia SNCO CEO Ara Hovsepyan’s summary program performance report. During the exchange of views that followed, the speakers discussed rehabilitation of main canals and pump stations.
