Job Creation as Priority: Prime Minister Visits Gegharkunik Marz
On visit to Gegharkunik marz yesterday, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan first called at Lchashen community to get acquainted with rehabilitation works underway at the 2.5 km-long Sevan-Gavar highway section due to be completed by this month of August.
The Prime Minister’s next port of call was the outpatient clinic of Sevan town in process of rehabilitation. The building which was erected in 1949 will be upgraded in two stages. The first stage implies capital repairs and renovation to a total cost of AMD 108.3mn. The second one will comprise rehabilitation of floor coverings, sanitary units, engineering networks, installation of fire warning systems to a total cost of AMD 80.8mn.
The Premier’s tour continued at the high school of Sevan town in need of upgrades. The head of government assigned to complete the necessary estimate works by this yearend.
On the sidelines of his trip, the Prime Minister visited the RPA local headquarters to hand out party tickets to some 300 new recruits.
Addressing those present, Tigran Sargsyan pointed out that in its capacity of a ruling party, the RPA was responsible for the tackling of those social and economic threats facing the country: “We are confronted by most serious challenges: while the country was seriously hit by the global financial and economic crisis, the Republican Party proved up to task and emerged with flying colors.”
Answering the attendees’ questions, Tigran Sargsyan said job creation was the task number one of his government. By noting that Gegharkunik marz suffered most of all from lack of employment, the Prime Minister assured that the Government would henceforth be consistent in solving the local population’s problems.
