The Government of the Republic of Armenia

Earlier today, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan-led government delegation attended a ceremony of holy mass served at the newly built Armenian Sourb Haroutune church of Rostov-on-Don, functional since May, 2011.

Then Tigran Sargsyan called at Armenia’s Consulate General in Rostov-on-Don, the activities of which were presented by Consul General of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Gomtsyan. Note that an Armenian cultural center is operational at the Consulate.

Prior to returning to Yerevan, the head of government met with the representatives of the Armenian community of Rostov to describe the current status of Armenia’s economy, the government’s programs and the model of governance.

Answering our compatriots’ questions, the Prime Minister dwelt on logistical and transport-related problems, tourism development possibilities, Homeland-Diaspora linkages etc.
