The schools will be supplied with boiler-houses, local heating and ventilation networks, fire-prevention systems, systems of the video observation, centralized bell and timer systems. The schools will also get new equipments and stocks, external platforms for sporting events and ceremonies, illumination facilities. There will be planted trees and shrubs to form a recreational zone which may be used by community residents as well.
After reconstruction, the two village schools will be able to host 360 pupils each against the former 320 pupils in Arevshat and 200 - in Nor Kyank. The projects will be budgeted as follows: Arevshat - AMD 639.768mn and Nor Kyank - AMD 793.615mn.
The Prime Minister next traveled to Artik town where he got acquainted with the rehabilitation works underway in Shahumyan street and at high school N7. The 1.6km-long Shahumyan street project, which is a transit section on Horom-Artuk-Alagyaz central highway, is financed by the treasury to the rate of AMD 159.44mn. Repair works started in May, 2011 and will be finished in late November. 40% of the activities are complete already.
The currently 380 pupil-strong high school N7 can host up to 480 pupils if upgraded. Rehabilitation activities started in June and will be completed in late August. The treasury has allocated AMD 12.9mn for implementation of civil works. 60% of the activities are complete already.
Tigran Sargsyan, who also serves on the executive board of the RPA, visited the local office of the party after which he went to the municipal house of culture to hand out party tickets to some 170 residents of Artik.
Congratulating the new recruits, the Prime Minister said that the Republican Party bears responsibility for the decision of social and economic problems facing our country: “Together with you, we proved up to the task while addressing the problems facing the country. It is extremely important for us to be honest and dedicated in our undertakings as only in this case people will trust us seeing that we are doing our best.”
According to Tigran Sargsyan, employment is the problem number one in the provinces. “During our trips to marzes, the question of employment is raised constantly, therefore, it is the task number one for the government,” the Prime Minister emphasized adding that the second problem of concern to local population is that of inter-community roads, with the third problem consisting in school construction. Note that some 500 schools throughout the country badly need upgrading as of this point of time. “Either this question is deemed to be a priority,” Tigran Sargsyan noted.
In his words, meetings like this are inspiring as they evidence that there are citizens in the country ready to join the RPA in its efforts.
