PM Receives Lebanese Ambassador
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today outgoing Lebanese Ambassador to Armenia Jebrail Jeara.
Greeting the Ambassador, the Prime Minister expressed high appreciation of the current level of Armenian-Lebanese relationship.
Tigran Sargsyan appreciated the diplomat’s contribution to the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.
The head of government thanked Jebrail Jeara for his 8-year long activities aimed at boosting interstate ties between Armenia and Lebanon.
Thanking the Prime Minister for reception, the Ambassador assured that the Lebanese government will spare no effort to further upgrade relations between Lebanon and Armenia. A number of Lebanese companies were said to be interested in making investments into Armenia’s tertiary and insurance sectors.
Stressing that the two countries have a strong historical background based on common values, the interlocutors expressed readiness to build on the existing ties of effective cooperation.

Note that there are currently some 100 joint ventures with Lebanese capital operational in Armenia, most of which are small and medium-sized companies having invested into the banking, insurance, tertiary, real estate sectors etc.
