The Prime Minister Met the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Baader Bank AG.
Today Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan had a meeting with Uto Baader, the founder and chairman of the board of directors of Baader Bank AG.
Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister said, “We try to promote the cooperation between local and foreign financial institutions and we hope that your visit will help to strengthen ties with the financial system of Germany. We also try to assist our commercial banks in finding and establishing direct ties with reliable foreign partners. At the same time, the functions, carried out in our financial market, are of great importance to us. We have a small, but strong and healthy financial system and would be glad to see you in our market.”
Mr. Baader expresses his gratitude for the reception and shared his impressions about his first visit to our country. He presented the activities of his bank and noted that it is mainly aimed at financing of infrastructure development projects.
The sides discussed the current situation in Armenian bond market, as well as the possible ways of cooperation. They both emphasized, that the cooperation of Baader Bank AG with Armenian “Prometey” bank will allow the Armenian financial institutions get involved in the international financial market, with the assistance of the global network of Baader Bank AG.
During the meeting the parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation, in particular, the possible participation of Baader Bank AG in a number of investment projects by providing consulting services. In this context, the Prime Minister presented details of such projects as the establishment of an Armenian center of excellence in oncology, construction of ‘Nairit’ factory, ‘North-South’ transport corridor, a new area of atomic energy in Armenia and a sports complex in Sevan. For his part, Uto Baader expressed readiness to study the discussed projects.
