Secondary school opened in Sarakap





Today Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited the region of Shirak to participate in the opening ceremony of the reconstructed secondary school in Sarakap. The school was reconstructed within the framework of the “School Construction” projects of “Lindsay” foundation. The Head of the Government, accompanied by the RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan and Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, toured the school and observed the conditions created after the reconstruction.
The Number of the students attending the school reaches 117 people, but it has the potential to accept 216 students. About 537 million AMD was invested for the reconstruction of the educational institution. It has sports and celebrations halls, new boiler room, lighting, ventilation, air conditioner, fire detector, video surveillance and centralized bell systems. The school is fully furnished, supplemented by educational and sports equipment, as well as computers.
A pre-school educational institution for 24 students will also be opened on the territory of the school.
The Prime Minister congratulated the students on the opening of the school and the beginning of the academic year and noted, that schools construction works is one of the Government’s main priorities. “Wonderful schools like this are like breath of fresh air for the village life too, and they increase people’s confidence about the future, which is the most important thing for our country nowadays,” said the Prime Minister, expressing hope that the new school in Sarakap will be one of the RA best schools from the point of view of the teachers’ and students’ knowledge and level of commitment.
Afterwards, the Head of the Government talked to the villagers, got acquainted with their problems and answered their questions.
