Tigran Sargsyan Gets Acquainted With Modern Armenian Artists’ Works Gifted To National Picture Gallery Of Armenia
Accompanied by Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited today the National Picture Gallery of Armenia.
The Prime Minister familiarized himself with the exhibits of an independence 20th anniversary-dated exposition, effective since September 17 and involving modern Armenian artists’ works gifted to the National Picture Gallery of Armenia.
The head of government was also introduced to an exhibition entitled “Dali and surrealists” featuring the works of world-famous surrealists including Salvador Dali, Hans Bellmer, Leonor Finny, Giorgio de Chirico.
The exposition likewise featured xylographic works by founder of abstractionism Vasily Kandinsky representing the collection of Christine Argile, Director of Argile Gallery (the USA, Los Angeles).
