Tigran Sargsyan: “We must reveal the assets we have in the Armenian world in order to put them at the service of Homeland.”
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the presentation of Armenian World magazine.
Extending his congratulations on the event, the Prime Minister thanked the initiators and the founders of the magazine for advocacy of the idea of the Armenian world.
“The Armenian world is a reality. If some 20 years ago we only used to be concerned about Armenia’s inner life, maintaining limited contacts with the outer world, in today’s rapidly changing world we come across with the Armenian world every now and then.
In this regard, projects like this can give a special emphasis to the Armenian world. We must reveal the assets we have in the Armenian world to put them at the service of our homeland, the Republic of Armenia. At the same time we should be aware that the Armenian world is not limited to the Republic of Armenia".
In this context, the head of government stressed that most Armenians live outside of the country: “One can wonder that 95% of Diaspora Armenian have never been to Armenia. Nevertheless, they feel in touch with the homeland in their own way – through the church, culture, mother tongue, history, single future. We are strong with diversity and we should conceive ways of tackling the potential we have. We must be able to promote Armenian brands and advocate them worldwide,” the Prime Minister said, convinced that initiatives like this can open up new opportunities for the Armenians.
For comprehensive coverage of the Armenian world, cooperation with the National Competitiveness Council and years-long fruitful activities in the field of TV, Tigran Sargsyan awarded Shant TV founder and CEO Arthur Yezekyan with the Prime Minister’s commemorative medal.
Armenian World magazine’s editor-in-chief Artem Yerkanyan was awarded the Premier’s appreciation letter for advocacy of the concept of the Armenian world and years-long media-related activities.
The purpose of the newborn magazine is to make a display of the activities and achievements of Armenians worldwide.
