Consultation On Doing Business Action Plan
A consultation dedicated to improvement of Armenia’s business environment was held today in the Office of Government, chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
To begin with, the head of government noted, “Today’s consultation is dedicated to the business environment improvement program. We should review the list of planned actions to see their implementation status so that we can gradually improve the business environment in Armenia.”
During the meeting, First Deputy Minister of Economy Karine Minsayan presented the business environment improvement action plan as finalized with proposals of the ministries and agencies concerned. She advised that the program concentrates on public agency function digitalization enabling citizens to make online use of State-administered services which is the best way of improving the business environment.
During the exchange of views that followed, the speakers dwelt on simplified administrative procedures needed to start and expand a business, pursue successful fiscal and customs policies toward promoting growth of foreign trade and small and medium-sized enterprises. In particular, the following items were discussed: taxpayer handling, foreign trade, investor protection, business startup and windup, lending accessibility and so on.
In conclusion, Tigran Sargsyan issued the necessary assignments to the heads of the ministries and agencies concerned.
