Rural Capacity Building Program Governing Council Meets At Government
Rural Capacity Building Program governing council met at Government, chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
First, the governing council discussed and backed a set of amendments to the June 8, 2011 agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the OPEC International Development Fund.
The meeting next approved a proposal submitted by Rural Area Economic Development PIU on delay of construction activities until 2012. In this context, the question of community participation has been discussed.
The council took note of the report on the latest IFAD mission-drafted memorandums and on the actual consultancy expenditures carried out by Armenian Fruit JSC under a number of business programs.
The meeting decided to endorse the proposal on increased financial threshold to be established for Rural Area Economic Development PIU-invited bids, as well as the statute of the newly organized separate unit under the PIU.
In conclusion, the council discussed and approved the proposals received from PHP Partners CJSC and KPMG Armenia on rehabilitated accounting system to apply under the “Marketing opportunities for farmers” program and on extra financing to be made available by this December 31 for audit purposes respectively.
