The Government of the Republic of Armenia informs with deep sorrow that outstanding Armenian statesman and diplomat, former ASSR Minister for Foreign Affairs Anatoly Mkrtchyan died on October 26, 2011 at the age of 80 and expresses condolences to the family and close relatives of the deceased.

By Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s decision, an Armenia Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan-headed government commission has been set up to organize Anatoly Mkrtchyan’s funeral.

The government commission informs that civil funeral will be held on October 27, 18:00 local time, at Saiat-Nova 29, apt 21, Yerevan.

Last farewell to Anatoly Mkrtchyan shall be bid on October 28, from 12:00 14:00 at the Yerevan House of Chamber Music after Komitas. The funeral ceremony is due at 14:00 in the new pantheon of the Yerevan city cemetery.
