PM Welcomes EU Advisory Group Members
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today a delegation led by EU Advisory Group coordinator Antti Hartikainen.
Welcoming the guests, the Prime Minister said the goal of his government is achieve higher efficiency of cooperation with the advisory group. “The advisory group is supposed to help us implement reforms in Armenia. We look forward to your professional and technical advice in different direction,” Tigran Sargsyan said.
The members of the EU advisory group briefed the head of government on the pace and outcome of the ongoing EU-Armenia talks on deep and comprehensive free trade and association agreements. The parties have likewise discussed join action in the judiciary, human rights defense, complex management of borders etc.
Concluding the meeting, the Prime Minister attached importance to the furtherance of cooperation between the advisory group and local State agencies.
Tigran Sargsyan stressed that the government needs clear-cut schemes for specific issues. The Premier expressed hope that the advisory group’s efforts will be successful in this respect.
