The Prime Minister Received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan
Today Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Tikahito Harada. The Head of the Government congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished a fruitful career. “I am confident that you will continue the successful mission of your predecessors and will put efforts in deepening warm friendly ties between our countries and developing strong Armenian-Japanese cooperation in various sectors,” Tigran Sargsyan said.
The Prime Minister thanked the Government of Japan for the assistance rendered to Armenia in different spheres. The two sides noted that the Armenian-Japanese relations have great potential for development and they have been moving forward dynamically in the recent years. The parties mentioned that there are no unresolved issued between the two countries. Tigran Sargsyan stressed the importance of the mutual visits between the two businessmen and noted that it is necessary to pay great attention to the exchange of information on business opportunities. The Prime Minister said that Armenia attaches great importance to the consistent development of relations between Armenia and Japan and is willing to make active efforts to expand and strengthen the mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries in politics, economic, culture and other areas.
Tikahito Haradan assured that he is ready to implement appropriate actions to enhance and promote the Armenian-Japanese relations in different directions.
During the meeting the two sides have also focused on seismic safety, the fight against natural disasters, energetic and other areas of cooperation.
