The Prime Minister Got Acquainted with the Conditions of Mashtots Division of Passport and Visa Department after its Reconstruction



Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited the Mashtots division of the Passport and Visa Department of the RA Police. The head of the Government, accompanied by the Chief of the Police Vladimir Gasparyan, got acquainted with the conditions and activities of the division after its reconstruction.
In order to provide more efficient and transparent services to the citizens, the department was replenished with new electronic terminal and computer equipment accepting administrative fines and other payments. The activities in the passport department are being carried out in working cameras made of glass, to ensure the transparency of the public service.
As a result of the reforms the service quality will increase significantly and the corruption risks will be eliminated. The reconstruction and maintenance works of the department have been carried out by the RA Police re-budgetary funds. Overall, about 59 million 642 thousand AMD were invested to implement the above-mentioned activities.
This year passport departments of Nor Nork and Ashtarak have already been reconstructed and the major renovation works of Avan's passport service are expected to be completed by December 10, 2011.
