Prime Minister Receives Kuwait's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Kuwait's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Bassam Mohammed Al-Qabandi. Congratulating the ambassador on assuming the diplomatic mission Prime Minister expressed confidence that the friendly relations between Armenia and Kuwait will deepen and expand in the future as well. "The opening of Armenian embassy in Kuwait two years ago raised the relations between our countries on a qualitatively new level. Our works should explore the issues that might become projects of mutual interest. Kuwait is a capital exporting country, and we must be able to offer interesting investment projects," Tigran Sargsyan said.
The Ambassador noted that the government of his country is also interested in developing relations with Armenia in different directions. The parties stressed the importance of development of trade-economic ties between Armenia and Kuwait through implementation of joint programs. In this context, the parties discussed issues on possible participation of Kuwait in the construction projects of North-South highway and 400 km railway in Armenia. They also discussed the possible cooperation of the two countries in the spheres of agriculture, mining, IT, tourism and implementation of flights between the two countries.
