Seismic Security Level will Increase
Regular sitting of RA Government took place today, chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
The Executive took note of the report of the Office of the Government, according to which 100% of 146 due to implementation points of RA Government’s decision on “establishment of RA Government’s 2011 priority tasks and activities” has been implemented.
RA Government has approved the pilot training program of activities and procedures in schools, hospitals and other medical institutions, state and local government agencies during a major earthquake. Experts predict the possibility of a strong earthquake in the Caucasus and Armenian Highland at any time. One of the most important tasks of seismic risk reduction is raising awareness among the population, as well as training seismic security procedures. RA Minister of Urban Development and RA Minister of Emergency Situations have clarified the above mentioned, as all as the measures undertaken in seismic resistant engineering during the sitting. Summing up the discussion, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stressed the importance of these problems, and assured that they will be solved by the Government in the nearest future.
RA Government has made changes and additions in one of the previous decisions, which clarify the issues related to provision of qualification certificates to auditors by the respective foreign institutions, as well as by the International Federation of Accountants. The Government has made three other appropriate additions in its previous decisions and has established internal audit departments at the RA Ministries of agriculture, economy, energy and natural resources. Three other decisions are related to further reform of the Real Estate Cadastre system, particularly to the internal functions and the services provided to external users, as well as simplification of the process of providing information.
The Government decided to recognize the International Criminal Police Organization travel document, the electronic passport, as a righteous RA state border crossing document. People bearing the document have now been freed from the requirement to obtain a visa.
Making changes and additions in three of its previous decisions, the Executive simplified the process of allotment of registration numbers and enabled the citizens to obtain such numbers without having to wait for the auction day.
By the Governments decision the allocations made in 2012 to support the minorities were distributed. 10 million AMD was allocated to 11 NGOs.
The Executive has made changes in one of its previous decisions and stated that the churches and church structures built by benefactors without proper formalities will be exempt from paying any fee during the legalization process, if by the initial conditions they are supposed to be passed to the Armenian Apostolic Church with no property rights compensations.
RA Government approved the order of awarding the landscape prize, defining the RA Landscape Prize, which, according to the European Landscape Convention, should encourage the winner and ensure the sustainable protection, management and planning of the landscape.
Irrigation system restoration 2012 program and a number of other issues were also discussed during the sitting.
