Tigran Sargsyan Receives Ambassador of Kazakhstan
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia Ayimdos Bozzhigitov.
“We appreciate our relationship with Kazakhstan and stand ready to make every possible effort to expand and strengthen the bilateral ties. At this point, there are no such issues over which we could not reach mutual agreement: there is complete understanding of approaches for which we are glad,” the Prime Minister said.
Stating that there is great potential for the development of trade turnover, the parties noted that the economic ties still fall short of the current high level of political relations. From this point of view, they stressed the need for resuming the proceedings of the intergovernmental commission, which in turn may promote new business ties.
Tigran Sargsyan and Ayimdos Bozzhigitov exchanged views concerning the implementation of joint undertakings in the field of information technologies, industry, tourism and other sectors. The interlocutors also looked at the possibility of attracting investments into Armenia’s emerging free trade zones.
The Ambassador asked for Armenia’s support for his country’s bid to host the Expo-2017 international exposition in Astana.
