PM Believes U.S. - Armenia Relations Diversified and Multifaceted
A gala concert, entitled “World harmony from A to A (from Armenia to America),” was held in the concert hall after Aram Khachaturyan on February 25 - on the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Armenia and the United States. It was the unique of its kind with collaborative musical works authored by from 8 to 14 years-old U.S. and Armenian children.
Welcoming the participants, the Prime Minister said, “The symbol of today’s gathering is the harmony I can see in the U.S. – Armenia relations. The U.S. Ambassador gave quite an impressive description of bilateral ties: U.S. – Armenia relations are on the upgrade, and they have never been at such a high level as during the tenure of President Obama and President Sargsyan,” Tigran Sargsyan stated.
The Prime Minister said bilateral relations are diversified and multifaceted covering all spheres of human activity ranging from the economy to the technical and financial assistance provided for the development of civil society.
“We appreciate the role of the United States in ensuring lasting peace in the region and settling the Nagorno-Karabakh issue within the framework of the Minsk Group. We are committed to deepening and broadening our ties of friendship since we believe them to promote prosperity for the people of Armenia,” Tigran Sargsyan noted congratulating the Armenian and American peoples on the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The concert project was co-hosted by Luys Foundation, the Massachusetts Technological Institute and the U.S. Embassy in Armenia. Musical lessons were given by famous composer and innovator Tod Machover.
