Farewell Meeting With Indian Ambassador
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Achal Kumar Malhotra who is completing his mission in our country.
On behalf of the Armenian government, the Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for his tenure-long efficacious efforts toward promoting the Armenian-Indian bilateral relations.
The interlocutors took the opportunity to sum up the outcome of joint programs and talk over expectations. “We can state with satisfaction that the Armenian-Indian relations have been activated over the past few years. Suffice it to mention the opening of the Indian IT Training Center at the Yerevan State University as attended by Indian State Minister for Communications and Information Technologies Sachin Paylot. It was a significant event in our relations, because the IT industry is a priority to us, and India’s expertise is instructive and important in this regard,” the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the latest meeting of the Armenian-Indian intergovernmental commission and the business forum which were held last October in Yerevan.
The Ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for support and assistance provided to the programs of cooperation. He emphasized that the Indian government highly values the ties of friendship with Armenia and is interested in upgrading and expanding them ahead.
In conclusion, wishing Achal Kumar Malhotra every success in his future activities, Tigran Sargsyan said friends are always welcome in Armenia.
