Zvartnots Historical-Cultural Complex Gets New Materials, Evening Illuminations
On the International Day of Monuments and Sites, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited Zvartnots Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum to get acquainted with its new materials, as well as the nighttime lightings and sound systems available.
The latest excavations have revealed about a hundred historical findings. The museum features rare documentary materials, photographs and monographs allowing a retrospective view over the years-long excavation activities.
Three exhibition halls ensure a standing display of archaeological, historical and architectural materials which provide valuable testimonies about Zvartnots temple by Armenian historians of VII-XIII centuries.
AMD 18mn has been spent to engage new exhibits, of which 2.5 million from the State budget, with the balance settled by the Armenian Heritage Conservation Service SNCO.
AMD 11.8mn was spent on nighttime lightings, of which 10 million was donated by Armenian Electric Networks CJSC and the balance was settled by the Armenian Heritage Conservation Service SNCO.
