PM Receives Latvian State Revenue Service Delegation
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the delegation of the Latvian State Revenue Service led by Director-General Nelly Yezdakova.
Welcoming the guests, the Prime Minister said. “We are interested in having your experience as tax and customs administration is the center of attention of both the business circles and society. We are interested in strengthening bilateral relations and exchanging know-how.”
Thankful for reception, Nelly Yezdakova said it is her first-ever visit to Armenia and she is impressed with our country. Cooperation in tax and customs fields was said to have been discussed during the meetings held with the Armenian counterparts. Nelly Yezdakova briefed Tigran Sargsyan on the organizations and functioning of her agency.
Tigran Sargsyan stressed the importance of exchanging experience with the State Revenue Service of EU-member Latvia in terms of improved tax and customs legislation.
The delegation headed by Nelly Yezdakova will stay in Armenia from April 24 to April 27.
On April 26, the Latvian State Revenue Service and the Armenian State revenue Committee will sign a technical cooperation arrangement to jointly combat tax evasion and share experience between the two countries’ tax and customs authorities.
