Welcoming the participants, the Prime Minister read out the message of President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan addressed to the 5th Pan-Armenian Educational Conference:
“I warmly welcome the organizers, participants and guests of the 5th Pan-Armenian educational conference.
As the homeland of all Armenians, the Republic of Armenia has a duty and an obligation not only toward its citizens, but also toward all Armenians around the world. With the restoration of the Armenian statehood, the conservation of the Armenian identity has ceased to be the concern of only the organizations of the Diaspora. It is a challenge for all of us. Moreover, the withdrawal of the Armenian language in some Diaspora communities has highlighted our educational problems.
We attach great importance to conferences like this, as well as other formats. no less effective, to work with the educational institutions of the Armenian Diaspora. Our assistance should be a comprehensive one, taking into consideration local circumstances, which are inevitable given the diversity and dispersion of the Armenian Diaspora.
Dear participants of the conference,
The centuries-old procession of the Armenian language and Armenian nation continues, especially thanks to your efforts. I wish you new strength and energy to carry out your mission for the good of the motherland. Be assured that you will always have reliable backing in the face of the Armenian statehood.
I wish every success to the conference, which is an integral part of your great deeds.”
