North-South Road Corridor Investment Program Governing Council Holds Meeting
Chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program Governing Council met at the Office of Government.
Before proceeding to the agenda, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan informed that changes had been made to the council composition following the 2012 May 6 parliamentary election. Congratulating the new council members, the Premier thanked them for participation.
The first question related to the land alienation and resettlement program (LAARP). Approving the preliminary budget of LAARP, the Council instructed the Chief Executive Director of North-South Road Corridor Investment Program to finalize the program and submit to the government for approval after obtaining the endorsement of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The meeting went on to discuss and approve the reorganizations and staff changes made to North-South Road Corridor Investment Program Implementing Entity SNCO. The Chief Executive Director was told to take the necessary measures to implement the proposed amendments.
There were also discussed issues relating to North-South Road Corridor Investment Program Tranche-3 land alienation and resettlement program.
Summing up the meeting, the Council approved the approaches proposed by the Asian Development Bank and charged the Chief Executive Director to launch preparations for the aforementioned program in line with the ADB requirements.
