Joint Military Exercises will be Held on Proper Level
A Cabinet sitting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
Opening the sitting, the Prime Minister addressed the last months’ budget execution, Armenia’s indices of the Global Competitiveness Report 2012-2013, as well as the measures taken to ensure food safety. The Heads of appropriate departments made clarifications regarding these issues.
The Government approved the draft presidential decree “On Preparation and Conduct of Joint Military Exercises “Interaction 2012” in the Territory of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization”.
The military exercises will be held on September 15 to 19 and aim to demonstrate the CSTO’s rapid-reaction forces’ capabilities to resist all kinds of threats and challenges, to increase CSTO joint security forces and the structured potential of the assets by developing the capacities of these forces in the environment of existing and potential threats.
The Government made amendments in one of its previous decisions and named the main school in Armavir Marz village Artamet after Gurgen Margaryan, as well as instructed the governor of Armavir to make amendments in the charter of “Artamet secondary school after G. Margaryan” SNCO and to ensure its state registration.
The Government took note of the major indices of the initial version of draft state budget for 2013 submitted by the Ministry of Finance. The RA Executive Bodies were instructed to submit recommendations on the textual part of the draft state budget for 2013 to the Ministry of Finance within one week. It was decided to discuss the preliminary version of the draft state budget for 2013 with the Prime Minister on September 10.
By the Government’s decision the available term of providing loans for the organization of agricultural activities was extended to December 31, 2012. In 2012, around 7.5 billion AMD was loaned to more than 9 thousand people.
The Government allocated 6.5 million AMD to ensure the participation of the Armenian delegation in the 2012 World Deaf Wrestling Championship held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on September 1 to September 11.
