PM Receives Delegation Led by Archbishop Khajag Barsamian
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of Armenian Church of America (Eastern) and President of the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR). Welcoming the guests at the Government, the Prime Minister said, “We greatly appreciate the activities of FAR, which has implemented a number of humanitarian and charitable works in Armenia.”
Archbishop Khajag Barsamian congratulated the Prime Minister on Independence Day of Armenia and stated that FAR is ready to continue its mission, including attracting investments.
Afterwards, FAR Board Chairman Randy Sapah-Gulian briefed the Head of the Government on the service sector investment program to be implemented in Armenia.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan welcomed the initiative and assured that the Government encourages such programs and is ready to support its implementation process.
Randy Sapah-Gulian informed that the center will provide 400 to 1000 jobs in the service sector, serving English and Russian speaking consumers.
The Prime Minster offered to look into the Arabic speaking consumers also, because as a result of the events taking place in the Middle East, numerous Arabic speaking Armenians have returned to Armenia, so we have to consider the issue of including them in the labor market.
The interlocutors also addressed FAR’s other activates, in particular, the programs carried out in the educational and health fields.
