Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan Welcomes Delegation Led By Yezidi Spiritual Leader
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Yezidi spiritual leader Mire - Mira Takhsin-Beg. Tigran Sargsyan said in his welcoming speech, “The Government of the Republic of Armenia cares that the Yezidi community could feel at ease in our country. We are protecting the rights of the Yezidis, enabling them to publish newspapers and teach Yezidi language at school. We are ready to discuss with you how the Government can promote the well-being of the Yezidi community.”
The Yezidi spiritual leader said that historically the Armenian and Yezidi peoples have fostered strong ties of friendship.
The parties looked at ways of bettering the life of the Yezidi community of Armenia. They discussed the possibility for the Yezidi businessmen to invest in our country.
The interlocutors have also discussed a broad range of issues of mutual interest.
