Dilijan International School Construction Board Of Trustees Holds Meeting
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan participated in the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the construction of Dilijan International School, which thoroughly discussed the ongoing activities and programs.
The head of government noted that the Armenian government is implementing various programs aimed at the development of Dilijan.
“The construction of this international institution will help us solve various problems. We are interested in the successful completion of the program. Through joint efforts, we can have a new Dilijan in the next five years, which will not be inferior to other similar centers with great tourist attraction. There are all the necessary prerequisites to that end.
In general, for the development of infrastructures in Dilijan, it was crucial for the State to make a fundamental decision, namely the transfer of the Armenian Central Bank to Dilijan. This will bring along serious financial investments and the necessary infrastructure,” Tigran Sargsyan noted.
The school, which will involve teachers and experts with long international experience, will accommodate 650 pupils aged 13-18 years.
It was reported that the construction of the school shall consist of two stages. The construction of the first phase is scheduled for completion in September 2014. By that time, the main units, including the sports schools, sports arenas, two sets of dormitories, medical, educational workshop and a multipurpose center will be commissioned.
In the second phase construction of the school, which is scheduled for completion in 2016, two dormitories for the students of the complex, a complex for teachers, a theater, an amphitheater and school gardens will be built.
