ArmProd EXPO Kicks Off
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the opening of ArmProd EXPO exhibition which brings together Armenian food and drink manufacturers and suppliers.
Accompanied by Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, the head of government got acquainted with the products on display and the upcoming programs of participating companies.
Addressing the journalists, Tigran Sargsyan said exhibitions like this contribute to the development of the industrial sector. “Our goal is to assist local businesses to find new markets. All the participating companies are exporters, and this is a priority to the government. The representatives of all those stands we visited noted that at least 20% growth in output levels has been stated this year. There are also companies that have doubled production volume, increased salaries and the number of jobs,” Prime Minister pointed out.
The Prime Minister said that agriculture has been the locomotive of economic growth in recent years. The farming sector is on the upgrade and the government’s task is to maintain the pace of development over the next few years.
The exhibition is an opportunity for companies to showcase their entire range of products, as well as to find partners or investors.
