Meeting With Acting UNDP Permanent Representative
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received acting resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Patrice Coeur – Biseau.
Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister said. “I am glad to cooperate in different fields of activity. Highly appreciative of the activities of United Nations Development Program Armenia Office, we believe the last 20 years’ programs to be a success.”
Both sides noted with satisfaction that Armenia has been actively involved in the works implemented under the aegis of the United Nations since 1992, collaborating with its organizations and agencies.
In this context, the parties stressed the importance of the Millennium Development Goals, Regulatory Guillotine and South Caucasus Integrated Border Management programs. Speaking about their effectiveness, the head of government provided details of these programs.
Mr. Coeur-Biseau assured that the UNDP will continue implementing programs in Armenia. He noted that Armenia is well poised in the region as per its economic achievements and appreciated the steps taken by the Government to improve the business environment.
