Today RA Government Commission on Coordination of Charitable Programs has met under the chairmanship of Commission Chairman S. Ter-Simonyan.
The commission has reviewed and approved 9 charitable programs, inclusive of the Hayastan Pan - Armenian Fund-implemented programs for repair of the 2nd floor of "Holy Virgin Medical Center" Joint-Stock Company in Yerevan, design and budget assessment for restoration of water-mains of village Vaguhas of Martakert region in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, as well as furniture manufacturing, procurement, transportation and free installation for the high school of Dasht village in Armavir marz of the Republic of Armenia. Also, approved were the Armenia Branch of the Armenian Evangelic Society-implemented program on organization of summer camps for children from poor families as carried out by Armenian Caritas public charity, a program referred to as "Improvement of Training Conditions in Rural Schools of Shirak Marz of Republic of Armenia," as well as a grant-funded program to be carried out in 2006-2007 by the Armenia branch office of the Open Society Institute's Relief Fund.
"Care for Armenia" program, carried out by "Shoghik" Armenia-based charitable organization, will provide clothing, food, hygienic supplies and summer camps for rural poor families.
