PM Takes Part In St Sargis Feast Celebrations
Attended by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, two exhibitions dedicated to Saint Sargis feast were inaugurated at the Armenian Painters’ Union and the National Aesthetics Center of Yerevan. The Premier toured the expositions getting acquainted with the exhibits on display.
Referred to as “Invincible power of love,” the National Aesthetics Center’s exposition features paintings by studio students, while the Painters’ Union gallery represents works by young artists-participants of the fifth national jubilee exhibition.
Congratulating those present on the feast of St. Sargis, the Prime Minister said, “Many people remember that a few years ago the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese attempted to make revive the tradition and mark the feast of St Sargis, which is celebrated with great pomp in the Republic of Armenia involving ever larger masses from year to year. I am glad that as restored as a national tradition, the feast is expanding in scope.”
As part of celebrations, Tigran Sargsyan attended a St Sargis feast-dated event which was held in Yerevan’s Lovers Park.
Attended by Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan and numerous teenagers, the event was held under the high patronage of President Serzh Sargsyan.
