Foreign Ministry Team Wins Premier’s Cup In “Brain Ring” Intellectual Game



Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the final match for the Prime Minister’s Cup in “Brain Ring” intellectual game.

The Foreign Ministry team won the Cup after they defeated the team of the Ministry of Defense. The third place in the tournament went to the team of the Ministry of Healthcare. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan himself handed in the first prize to the winners of the tournament.

Congratulations the winners and the participants, the Prime Minister stated in part. “This game has a great meaning that is competition within the executive power should be intellectual.
It is important for public servants to be motivated by the desire of being the best in the field of intellectual competition. I am glad that interest for this game and the number of participants is growing from year to year, which means that we have managed to create an atmosphere of competition in the intellectual field. I do believe that the State and the system of governance will be the final beneficiaries after all.”

Concerning the performance of the team of the Ministry of Defense, Tigran Sargsyan noted that they had made great progress over last year: “It is gratifying because the Ministry of Defense is supposed to mobilize the new wave of Armenian intellectuals to become the leading elite of our society. Today we can state that the MoD can strengthen the intellectual power of our Army. I am sure that this is the key to success,” the Prime Minister said.

According to Tigran Sargsyan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs team demonstrated today that we can rely on them in the diplomatic fight as they have sufficient knowledge to protect our interests in the foreign front.

This fourth edition of the Prime Minister’s Cup was organized by the Armenian Scholars’ Association and the Association of Civil Servants in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science.

The Prime Minister’s Cup seeks to promote intellectual competition among public servants and extend the scope of intellectual games countrywide.

The tournament was attended by some 27 teams representing ministries and government agencies.
