Tigran Sargsyan Gets Acquainted With National Academic Opera, Ballet Theater Refurbishment Activities
Accompanied by Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, Acting Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited the Alexander Spendiaryan Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in Yerevan to get acquainted with the ongoing refurbishment work.
Responsible for the refurbishment is the Austrian Waagner-Biro Austria Stage Systems AG company in cooperation with the Armenian government.
The following improvements have been carried out in particular: modernization of the existing stage machinery, introduction of state-of-the-art management systems and digital sound and lighting quality control systems, development of performance visualization software, setup of a professional digital recording studio etc.
Additional upgrade features are as follows: use of high-quality microphones, a radio management system, TV monitors and other equipment. The whole set of sound and lighting equipment has been imported from Germany and Austria.
The National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater is expected to resume activities late this April.
