Czech Republic Ready To Continue Assisting Armenia With European Integration
Acting Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received First Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg.
“I am sure that your visit will give a new impetus to the strengthening of relations between our two countries,” Tigran Sargsyan said stressing the importance of the Armenian-Czech business forum, which was attended by 13 Czech companies.
The parties stressed the need for shaping new business ties in order to expand the scope of economic cooperation.
The Czech Republic was said keen on deepening relationship with Armenia considering that the two countries have no political problems.
Tigran Sargsyan thanked the Czech side for support of Armenia’s European integration effort. Karel Schwarzenberg said in turn that his country is ready to continue backing Armenia with the implementation of reforms under the Eastern Partnership program.
Tigran Sargsyan advised that successful talks are underway in the frame of the Association Agreement with the European Union, in particular concerning the deep and comprehensive free trade agreement, and everything is being done so that the agreement could be up for signing before this yearend’s Vilnius Summit.
The parties went on to talk about the preparation for the upcoming Armenia donors’ conference, Czech Republic’s participation, as well as the ways of boosting interaction in the field of information technologies and other areas of mutual interest.
