PM Welcomes Newly Appointed Russian Ambassador to Armenia
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Ivan Volynkin.
Congratulating the Ambassador on taking up the diplomatic mission, the Prime Minister said, “We hope that your efforts in this responsible post will help deepen relationship between Armenia and Russia. We are interested to implement such programs as may contribute to the furthering and expansion of bilateral relations."
The Ambassador said he would do everything to build on the Armenian-Russian high-level cooperation and live up to the task set before him.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon a number of issues of mutual interest, including the CIS and EU integration processes, as well as the implementation of joint programs in the financial and energy sectors.
